Public Directory Listing

The public club directory is a searchable listing of racket sports clubs that helps players find clubs in their area. When you list your club, it becomes visible on directory.mixitone.com, where players can search for clubs by location, sport type, and other criteria.

Benefits of listing your club​

  • Increased visibility: Make it easier for new players to find your club
  • Free promotion: No cost to list your club in the directory
  • Automatic updates: Your listing updates automatically when you change your club information
  • Session information: Your public game sessions are also shown in your listing

How to list your club​

To list your club in the public directory:

  1. Navigate to Settings (click on your profile icon in the top right)
  2. In the left sidebar, click on Clubs
  3. Select the club you want to list
  4. Click on Public directory in the club settings menu
  5. Fill in the required information (see below)
  6. Check the "List in public directory" checkbox
  7. Click Save

Your club will appear in the directory once your listing is approved (usually within a few minutes).

Required information​

To list your club, you must provide:

  • Sport Type: The primary sport your club offers (Badminton, Tennis, Pickleball, Squash, or Other)
  • Country: Currently, only clubs in New Zealand can be listed in the public directory

Optional information​

You can also provide the following information to make your listing more complete:

  • Address: Your club's physical address
  • Region: The region where your club is located (e.g., Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury)
  • Telephone: Contact phone number
  • Email: Contact email address
  • Facebook Page: Link to your club's Facebook page
  • Website: Link to your club's website

Viewing your listing​

Once your club is listed, you can view it in the public directory:

  1. Go to the Public directory settings page for your club
  2. Click the "View your club listing" link that appears when your club is listed
  3. Or visit directory.mixitone.com and search for your club

Your listing will show:

  • Club name
  • Sport type
  • Location (address, region, country)
  • Contact information (if provided)
  • Links to your website and Facebook page (if provided)
  • Public game sessions (if any are listed)

Updating your listing​

To update your club's listing:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Clubs > [Your Club] > Public directory
  2. Update any of the information fields
  3. Click Save

Changes to your listing are automatically synced to the public directory. Note that significant changes may require re-approval.

Removing your listing​

To remove your club from the public directory:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Clubs > [Your Club] > Public directory
  2. Uncheck the "List in public directory" checkbox
  3. Click Save

Your club will be removed from the directory immediately.

Public game sessions​

If you have recurring game sessions that are marked as public (with the "List in public directory" option enabled), they will automatically appear in your club's directory listing. This helps players see when your club has sessions they can join.

To make a session public:

  1. Edit the recurring session
  2. Check the "List in public directory" option
  3. Add a description (optional but recommended)
  4. Save the session

Country restrictions​

Currently, only clubs located in New Zealand can be listed in the public directory. If your club is in another country, the "List in public directory" option will be disabled.

We're working on expanding directory support to other countries. Check back for updates!

Privacy and content moderation​

All club listings are reviewed before being published to ensure quality and prevent spam. Your listing may be flagged for review if:

  • Content appears to be spam or inappropriate
  • Required information is missing or incomplete
  • Contact information appears invalid

If your listing is flagged, you'll receive a notification and can work with our team to resolve any issues.

Tips for a great listing​

  • Complete all fields: The more information you provide, the easier it is for players to find and contact you
  • Keep information current: Update your address, contact details, and session times regularly
  • Add a description to sessions: Help players understand what to expect at your sessions
  • Use accurate location data: Correct region and address information helps players find clubs near them
